Mushroom or Red Pepper Torte
- 2 lbs. mushrooms or 3 red peppers thin sliced
- 1 bunch green onions chopped
- ½ cube of unsalted butter
- 8 eggs
- 1 cup biscuit mix
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp dill weed
- 3 cups milk
- 4 cups shredded jack cheese
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
Sauté mushrooms (red peppers) and onions in butter
Place ½ on bottom of 9 x 13 dish
Top with cheeses
Place remaining mushroom/red pepper mixture on top
Beat eggs, add biscuit mix, seasonings
Slowly add milk
Pour over top
Bake 30-40 minutes
Can be cut into 12 - 16 servings or make two 9"
quiche dishes for 8 servings each.
