Wineries
- California's Napa and Sonoma Valleys are home to more than 300
wineries. To help you navigate the choices, we will happily share
our local knowledge about tours, tasting times, and shortcuts along
the back roads. We welcome the opportunity to assist you in setting
up a personalized tour. . We also offer complementary wine
tasting "coupons" graciously provided by several of our local and
nearby wineries.

Tasting at the Inn
Periodically, we invite local wineries
to come to the Inn and pour some of their special/newly released
wines. Hors d'oeuvres are served for guests and other invited
visitors. Please go to the Specials & Packages page for more
information and the latest 2006 schedule of winery visits.
Calistoga
Cool Wine Tour
Spend the day on ultra-comfortable Bianchi bicycles
visiting local Calistoga Wineries on a self-guided tour tailored to
you, personally. Among other things, the program includes check-in
between 10 am and noon, personalized winery selection (from among 6
local wineries), scenic tour maps, etc. Each bike is custom fitted
to the rider, and includes a custom fitted helmet, water bottles,
locks, insulated picnic packs, special wine glasses, and custom wine
bottle carriers. Also offered are wine pick-up service (for larger
purchases) and roadside assistance.
This program is offered exclusively by the Calistoga
Bikeshop and is priced at $59.00 plus tax per person. All riders
must by 21 years of age or older, and advance reservations are

MUDBATHS, MINERAL BATHS, SPAS & SPA TREATMENTS - Calistoga was originally founded
by Sam Brannan circa 1860 as the Saratoga (resort and spa city in
New York) of California, or as Sam is reported to have said, "the
Calistoga of Sarafornia." We still have a wide variety of spas and
resorts in town, a few of which have joined with Brannan Cottage Inn

Sports Facilities - The Inn is located within a one block
walking distance to public tennis courts, basketball courts, and
playing fields. Nearby hiking trails range from simple to
challenging. For cyclists, we offer private bike racks inside our
gates for convenient overnight security. . We also offer
discount packages for local bicycle rental companies. The Mount
Saint Helena Golf Course (a public, executive style, par 34 9-hole
course) is approximately 4 blocks to the north of the Inn.
Concierge Services / Help and Advice - Feel free to call on
us for recommendations about area restaurants and recreational
activities. We will be pleased to alert you to local attractions and
special events.
Meetings and
Special Events
- Brannan Cottage Inn Bed and Breakfast is available for small
meetings and special events year round. We can assist you
in setting up a function utilizing either the public spaces in the
Main House or the patio and gardens during the warmer months. We
have personal relationships with several area caterers and wineries to
add that special touch to your event.
